Breakfast Links Go to Their Girlfriend’s Events
April 27, 2008
Breakfast links are on Sunday today because my girlfriend dragged me to multiple events, including two buffet meals, yesterday. This past week I made a no-knead bread and a garlic and basil tomato sauce. I have also added a new feature, Recipe of the Week. Here I will pick my favorite recipe that I’ve read in the food blogosphere and link to it.
Recipe of the Week:
Chocolate Panna Cotta, from Deeba at Passionate about Baking. I love chocolate, so it is the winner this week.
- Alton Brown from Good Eats illustrates knife maintenance and honing. This is a topic I want to get into further, hopefully in the next week or two.
- The Kitchn has a safety tip on cooling food before you put it in the fridge as leftovers.
- The Amateur Gourmet has his own list of essential kitchen equipment. He has me considering a roasting pan or dutch oven for roasting large stuff.
- Ben has an interesting look at the radish, a food I am not familiar with, at What’s Cooking?.

Hi Andy, love your blog. I want to plant some herbs in a container outside. Anyone have ideas as to the three or four most essential ones?

How did the no-knead bread go for you?
btw, I finally started a new blog myself – hope to have some good food stuff up on it in the near future.

The no-knead bread was ok, although I let it rise too long. I’ll be posting my trial on Monday.
