Breakfast Links Take Everything Literally

Date April 5, 2008

I don’t have anything interesting to say, so straight to the links. The first one is funny, especially if you like Mark Bittman’s How to Cook Everything series.

Have a great weekend.

cleaning as you go? anathema! i know it’s a good idea, but i don’t feel as though i’ve really cooked until all the surfaces in the kitchen are covered with dirty pots and grease splatters.

Thanks for mentioning my post about old cookbooks and singing cookbooks. It is unusual and most people aren’t aware of their existence. :-)

Interesting links! Though I must admit that the baby in the pot is a bit disturbing…

Great links, Andy! Loved the baby pic ;-) . My favorite clean-up tip is from Rachael Ray – use a bowl or dish to put your scraps in as you go. I know it creates another dish to wash but it makes it a lot easier esp. when you’re chopping up a heap of veggies for stews and such.

@Michelle: It is strange, I am a messy cook, but I can’t stand leaving it that way. I have to clean as I go.

@Marta: I like having a trash bowl a lot. That is good advice. It is impossible to carry an onion peel across the kitchen to the garbage can.
