Breakfast Links Ask a Question
June 21, 2008
Question: For my email subscribers, would any of you prefer a weekly newsletter containing summaries of all the posts for the week as opposed to the daily emails when something new is posted? I’ve been considering creating something like this for people who don’t want to receive that many emails. Just leave a comment or email me if you might be interested.
Recipe of the Week:
Fresh Apricot and Cherry Cobbler with Buttermilk Biscuit Crust - This recipe from Food Blogga looks pretty delicious, and cobblers are just good in general.
Links:
- Drew at How to Cook Like Your Grandmother explains why it is better to grill with stainless steel than non-stick. My grilling experience is limited - anyone else agree?
- Chaos in the Kitchen is a great new blog, and Katie, the author, attended a knife skills class at a local grocery store. It was a big success and is an interesting read for anyone interested in classes.
- Simply Recipes has a great illustration of the finger test to check the doneness of meat. I haven’t tried this yet, but it could be handy for new cooks when a thermometer is not available.
- French Laundry at Home made another delicious looking, super fancy recipe - Roasted Rib Steak with Golden Chanterelles, Pommes Anna, and Bordelaise Sauce.
Have a great weekend.

Hey Andy! Thanks for the link. We’re working on design this weekend and once it’s finished I’ll be posting some really cool stuff throughout the next week. Hope you had a nice vacation, good to have you back!
