Breakfast Links Eat Fresh

Date June 7, 2008

So, I received Jacques Pepin’s La Methode and La Technique from the library this past week. They look pretty good, but maybe a bit intense at this point. Eventually I’d love to go through the books, but right now I think I’ll focus more on the basics.

I received a May Site Development Bonus from Foodbuzz, so I am planning on running a few contests/giveaways starting in July. Any requests on prizes?

Recipe of the Week:

My Zuppa Toscana - This recipe, from Alosha’s Kitchen, wins not only because it looks delicious, but Alosha took a mediocre recipe and made it great by using high quality ingredients. I am usually drawn to the cheapest ingredients available, so this is something that I need to look out for and see where high quality ingredients make a difference.

Awardage:

This past week The Art of the Pig nominated me for the Arte y pico award. So…thank you! It is an award “creativity, design, interesting material and contribution to the blogging community”.

I will pass the award on to the five mentioned blogs above, as they are more than deserving.

Award Rules:

  1. Pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve this award with their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contribute to the blogger community, no matter what language.
  2. Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog.
  3. Each award-winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the award.
  4. Award-winners and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of “Arte y Pico” blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.
  5. Display these rules on your blog.

    Congratulations on the award, Andy.

(I liked the blog redesign you had earlier. It’s gone already. I guess you were just experimenting.)

I am working on the redesign now. I need to customize it, gets things spaced right, etc.
