Month in Review – September 2008
October 1, 2008
September was a fun month, and here are the highlights:
Most Pageviews:
Cooking 101: Dices, Paysanne, Lozenge, and Tourné – This post looks at a few more knife skills and has my spectacular failure at a tourné.
Most Comments:
Flat-Leaf vs. Italian Parsley - People weigh in with their opinions on this heated battle. There doesn’t seem to be much consensus among people, or even much difference between the parsleys.
Other Favorites:
Basic Pizza Dough – This is a versatile recipe that can be used for pizza or calzones, but one commenter had trouble getting it to work. Any suggestions?
Best Calzone Recipe – These really were the best calzones I’ve ever eaten.
What to Do with Moldy Cheese – A useful kitchen tip when fungus rears its ugly head (or spores?).
Blondies – A great alternative to brownies.
Also, Cooking 101 had Knife Skills Week, so check out all the posts here.

Ah yes, the dough. I need to just keep at it till I get it. I can’t go the rest of my life cooking without being able to make homemade pizza, calzones, dumplings… other stuff I can’t think of right now… I’ll get there.
And I appreciated the cheese post. I apparently was okay in my thinking all these years as to which ones to toss and which ones to salvage, but it’s nice to read some backup on that and be validated.
