Subscribe!
What is subscribing?
Subscribing is a way for The New Cook to send you the latest posts, instead of having to return to check for updates.
RSS is the standard subscription method. To use this, you first need a ‘Reader’ that will collect all your subscriptions. Popular readers include Google Reader and Bloglines. These are completely free - you just sign up and add your favorite websites.
When I post something at The New Cook, your reader will collect the post and you can read the whole thing from the reader. You can then click through to the actual site and post comments if you have something to say.
Why subscribe?
It’s easy! Instead of bookmarking the site and returning everyday, the new posts will be delivered right to you. It is even better when there are multiple sites that you want to follow - just subscribe to each and you read all the latest entries right from your reader. There is no need to return daily to each site to check for new posts.
How do I subscribe?
First, you’ll need to sign up with one of the readers listed above. I personally use Google Reader to follow the blogs I read. Second, just click here and select the reader you use. That goofy orange icon on the side is the universal icon for RSS, so you could also click there.
What if I don’t want a reader?
If you don’t want to deal with signing up for a reader, feel free to subscribe by email in that box on the right. You’ll get an email containing every new post in full, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
